Take Over Control Of Your Spiritual Destiny

Some of you might have been wondering why I have posted less blogs in the past couple of months. I am happy to inform you that I was not seek or incapacitated in anyway. I was on Mount Anubode. This is the equivalent of Mount Sinai or Mount Arafat of divine revelation of the Mysteries. The one in my immediate environment is called Oke n’Anubode, meaning Mount Of Anubode. I wrote a hint of this in one of my blogs, namely MYSTERY OF INITIATION MOUNT ANUBODE IN AFRICA. That was how much I could do without running afoul of Okun.

Okun has many meanings in Benin, my mother tongue in Nigeria. This is due to its pivotal role in our theology and metaphysics about life, death, funerals, and life after life. One of the meanings is OKUN as Ihen; it is as such the primordial or transcendental ancestor who existed before the advent of human beings on earth.

Aru’okun that can be “seen” by some on Oke n’Anubode is a huge windowless white building. It is the size of a block and higher than two storey building. It is the performing theatre of Okun; Okun abides therein; aru’Okun is the channel on earth, through which the presence of Okun can be tapped on Oke n’anubode, whence flows life. Every mortal with a divine mission must obtain permission from Okun (known to the unschooled as Olokun by way of baptism).

Okun features during a funeral related procession in Benin Kingdom. Okun is represented with a box with wedge-shaped top; this is lavishly decorated and borne by a male dancer during the procession along some designated streets. Okun symbolizes in this case, the vessel or boat bearing the soul to the other world.

I can talk of Okun of life and immanent reason that Okun bears. Life that Okun bears is also the source of the sapience of divine beings. This includes human beings as beings that are partly divine.

It bears emphasizing that I did not see any bearded old man on the Mount. This is consistent with the experiences of others in the past. They referred to what they perceived by name. One wonders where the idolatry associated with our theology stems from.

Ewuare The Great, one of our iconic Obas or divine kings who lived about 600 years ago was at this Mount. He established two shrines at the foot of the Mount. One of it is the Okun shrine. He inaugurated the IGUE festival. I wrote about this in TAKE OVER CONTROL (or TOC) in the following words, “There is an annual festival in Benin Kingdom called IGUE FESTIVAL. The natives of Benin Kingdom anoint their heads and “pay homage” to it. Our people thank their collective heads annually during the festival for leading them through the preceding year successfully and without harm. Individual persons may perform a lesser ceremony any time of the year when an occasion warrants it, such as escaping uninjured or with minor injuries in an accident that claimed many lives. Father or mother may thank his head for the safe-return of a son from the battle front. A mother may thank her head when a daughter delivers safely after a difficult labor. The gods and ancestors do not enjoy this type of show of gratitude. The people in the examples mentioned above might have made many sacrifices to appease them before the happy ending that they celebrate! Why?” (TOC p 65)

It is really profound that Oba Ewuare who was one of the greatest Obas by virtue of his conquests and innovations in administration, medicine, magic, etc. concluded that a person’s head is the true bastion. We had not invented writing in any form; if we did, he would have given us the equivalents of the Books of Moses. He left plaques in bronze as records in spite of this handicap. He predicted that one of his descendants will be exiled from Benin. This was fulfilled in the exile of Oba Ovonramwen in 1897 by the British.

One historically remarkable thing was the emergence of several Magicians in his time. Indeed, virtually all the shrines in Benin Kingdom are the addresses of these magicians who were deified. We will be experiencing fundamental changes in the history of the world in our time as the fulfillment of the prophecy of another that has been to Oke n’Anubode.

Our people habitually talk of Ewuare as the greatest Oba that ever lived. This is no longer accurate. Oba Akenzua II, the father of the present Oba Erediauwa is equally as great. He brought the innovation that makes ecumenism possible. We now have Osa (God) that is higher than Oba. All Obas before him were the Osa of the Benins. He also inaugurated the Aruosa religion based on belief in Osa without any roles for prophets and messiahs. He achieved this without physical violence or “Holy Wars”.

Oba Erediauwa has been destined to be the Oba in whose time there are likely to occur, cataclysmic events. That will change human history. I shall write about this later.

I am now working with deeper revelations of the Mysteries. I am working on my new Book. The title will be something like, “MYSTERY OF MOUNTS ANUBODE AND IROPFIO – The Message, The Metaphysics.”
